Job Description

This  Financial Manager position for a Distribution company reports to the Financial Director and Managing Director and is a challenging role with lots of scope & opportunity to show your abilities & make a difference.

You will plan, organise, direct and control all accounting, audit, and financial operations for the Company.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develops targets, plans budgets and controls operational expenditures in collaboration with the Financial Director
• Produces monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, as well as analysis, research and modelling for senior management
• Ensures implementation and adherence to finance policies, procedures and systems across the business
• Ensures compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting
• Manages the audit process
• Oversees a current team of two employees and ensures that the finance team is engaged to deliver accurate business information and excellent customer service
• Recruits, trains and inspires all members of the finance team
• Keeps the finance team updated regarding strategic developments and operational targets, ensuring the team has the resources, systems, support and knowledge to achieve goals

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA), registered with SAICA
• Knowledge of International Trade (Importation, Customs and Foreign Exchange)
• Strong ERP (SAP) Systems knowledge
• Knowledge of Human Resources practices and Labour Law

Skills

You will have at least 5 years'' experience as a Financial Manager within an International Trade Business and have:

• Knowledge of International Trade (Importation, Customs and Foreign Exchange)
• Strong ERP (SAP) Systems knowledge
• Knowledge of Human Resources practices and Labour Law
• Bilingual – English & Afrikaans (German would be advantageous)
• Highly numerate and able to analyse statistical information and interpret financial data to produce reports which can be understood by non-financial colleagues
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Strong planning and organisation skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
