Job Description

This Senior Commercial Manager role reporting to the General Manager is a challenging and exciting role, giving you the opportunity to show your abilities and attributes.

You will strategically plan and direct the Commercial and Sales & Marketing activities within the organisation in order to achieve the sales volume and profitability targets across all South African target market segments.

Your responsibilities:

• Maximise business profitability across all targeted market segments
• Budget and achieve the sales volumes
• Build and maintain the Company – Customer interface and identify and build appropriate industry business partnerships
• Continually analyse the key issues, resources and relationships within the industry and business in order to establish and steer the strategic direction of the business
• Provide support, leadership and strategic direction for the Sales & Marketing team
• Create an environment which encourages and allows quick and appropriate operational decision making in line with the organisational objectives
• Drive the performance culture within the organisation
• Customer visibility within the Sales Regions by having frequent interactions on the ground

Qualifications

• Appropriate tertiary institution degree in Commerce and/or Business Management

Skills

You will have at least 5 years'' experience in managing a Sales & Marketing team within the manufacturing and/or agricultural industry sectors at a Senior Level and have:

• Strong Management & Interpersonal Skills
• Strong Business Acumen, Market and Product Knowledge
• Strong Commercial Forecasting and risk Analysis Skills
• Strong Negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to travel to regions
• Proficient in SAP
