Job Description

This Management Accountant role reporting to the Group Financial Manager is a challenging and exciting role, giving you the opportunity to show your abilities and attributes.

You will be required to manage the balance sheet items, with specific emphasis on internal inventory control, fixed asset management in terms of IFRS, Capex budget compilation, management expenditure, compilation and presentation of management accounts.

Your Responsibilities:

Accounting

• Prepare and process journals
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare audit schedules
• Input monthly results in Company systems

Asset Management

• Manage fixed assets
• Purchase capital items and arrange financing
• Manage insurance; tracking units, fuel cards
• Process asset depreciation, disposals and write off,
• Compile annual Capex budgets
• Manage capital expenditure and related tasks

Stock Control

• Coordinate stock takes
• Verify variances
• Investigate variances and adjustments
• Manage cycle counts and inventory audits
• Prepare stock holding reports and actions

Qualifications

• Minimum B Comm Honours

Skills

You will have at least 5 years’ experience within a Manufacturing environment as a Management Accountant and have:

• Thorough knowledge of financial accounting using IFRS
