A vacancy has arisen with our client in the automotive industry, based in Rosslyn, for a ME Engineer (mechanical/chemical engineering) with a formal qualification in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering.
POSITION INFO:
Duties:
- Manage the technical processes, parameters & programs in assembly, milling, vibrations, US & HF welding robots/
processes with its fixtures/ tools.
- Set & control the programs/ parameters in assembly, milling, vibrations, US & HF welding robots/ processes with its fixtures/tools to ensure the achievement of the customer specification and continuous improvement.
- Lead and generate QRCI to investigate quality concern cause by equipment or process.
- Integrate ergonomics principles in product design and release and update the plant lay-out.
- Support maintenance in the route cause analysis in equipment failures.
- Support the ME Admin in the review of process FMEAs.
- Support the ME Admin in the review of process flow diagrams.
- Manage the product interface with product development and contribute to the engineering change management
process.
- Design and implement process design and implementation by supporting continuous improvement and production
through participation to the process specialist network.
- Interface with the product engineer (D&D) regarding follow-up of the product conception: from the acquisition
phase till SOP (+6months) whenever necessary.
- Define and update cycle time in line with take time and standard operations and feed to ME Admin to establish
manufacturing routines by releasing manufacturing process documents and process flowcharts.
- Define production equipment specifications and ensure that they are properly built and properly installed in the
plant.
- Ensure continuous improvement by capitalizing on lessons learnt and provide best practices using tools like; process productivity analysis, improvement action plans, production equipment performance, trouble shooting and
problem solving process.
- Authorized to stop the production line.
- Ensure HSE are at all times adhered to.
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or equivalent
- Process engineering and a minimum of 5 years' of experience in manufacturing engineering for process
specialist and experience in Injection Moulding
- Good technical skills on product and process
- Strong communication skills including English language
- Lead engineering projects and work with production team to implement projects
