POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking a Mid-Level Financial Modeller experienced in infrastructure projects and limited recourse debt finance. The role involves project preparation, funding, energy strategy development, and decarbonisation for large companies. The modeller will create and update customized financial models using MS Excel, providing insightful analysis. Ideal candidates have expertise in energy project modelling, especially in bidding processes, with more senior candidates having experience in various relevant sectors.

Minimum requirements:

• Development and running, updating, and reviewing complex project financial models
• Financial Advisory support
• Energy strategy and Transaction Advisory support
• Report-writing and presenting results
• Management of databook and assumptions

• Strong knowledge of Excel, including vba
• Good understanding of key project finance requirements
• Experience in building and updating detailed project finance models
• Financial model review experience
• Interest in a variety of different projects – how they function in real life
• 1-4 years of relevant modelling experience: mid-level

• Excellent MS Excel experience required (the level depending on seniority)

• B Com / Finance
• Actuarial
• Engineering
• Or any financial / maths-related degree
  Does not need CFA or specialist finance

• Learning to model all the specific sectors and developing different types of financial models
• Progression through the stages of seniority as a financial modeller
• A key development path is through Business Development
• Financial Modelling team management roles
