JOB SUMMARY:
Our Client in EZAKHENI / LADYSMITH (KZN) requires a MILLWRIGHT to commence ASAP

JOB DESCRIPTION:

REQUIREMENTS:

Millwright Trade Test

OBJECTIVES:

To provide technical expertise in the mechanical and electrical department.
Carry out routine inspections of the site installations and ensure conformation with the relevant regulations.

GENERAL TASKS:

Investigate mechanical and electrical problems.
Liaise with other artisans in resolving mechanical and electrical faults and general injection moulding problems.
Carry out tasks as delegated by Manager involving both factory and project work.
Liaise with suppliers on solving problems and identifying improvements.
Maintain critical mechanical and electrical spares stock to best serve production.
Communicate continually on progress with Production Supervisors.
General maintenance and housekeeping on all equipment.
Stripping and assembling of various equipment.
Carry out general fabrication work.
Operating of lifting equipment.
Ensure that all company procedures regarding health and safety are followed.
Ensuring paperwork is up to date.
Assist with supervising contractors.
Enforce all company procedures and best practices regarding electrical/mechanical requirements, installations and repairs
Ensure work orders, requisitions and reports are carried out timeously.
Ensures standards are maintained and carries out housekeeping on machines, in the factory and in the workshops.

WORKING HOURS:

Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm
Shiftwork, Overtime & Standby as required

REMUNERATION:

Market Related Salary
9% Provident Fund Contribution on Basic Salary
50% Medical Aid Contribution (Discovery)
