MUSHROOM OPERATIONS MANAGER - AGRICULTURE

SUMMARY:
Krugersdorp / Randfontein Area – Gauteng: The successful candidate will be a key member of the on-site management team, taking responsibility for the business from harvesting through to distribution, including administration, SHE, QC HACCP and HR related matters

POSITION INFO:

The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO – this is a senior all-encompassing vacancy

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Agricultural Diploma / Degree / Business and or relevant
• Qualification in production management advantageous
• Minimum of 5 previous years’ experience in FMCG and farming environment
• Minimum of 5 previous years’ experience in a management role
• Computer literate
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans
• Strong business acumen
• Previous experience working with industrial relations and all that goes with that
• Ability to work with, develop teams including mentoring and coaching

Key performance Areas including but not limited to:

• Control and performance management of labour
• Planning and processing of mushrooms to meet customer requirements and maximize utilization
• Maintain and maximize quality to mee the product specifications
• Adequacy for food safety
• Operation budgeting and cost control
• Industrial relations including handling discipline, grievances, and performance
• Competency with development of teams including mentoring and coaching
