MW Technical Engineer

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Telecommunications and Information technology sector based in the Western cape is seeking the services of an experienced MW Technical Engineer to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

MW Technical Engineer

Responsibility:

Assist rollout manger to analyze and resolve the dependency for the new Microware equipment installation, i.e., special bracket procurement, site access, site acquisition.

Support the link build and trouble shooting and working from backoffice most of time, the candiate needs have the MW installation, MW commissioning, alignment, trouble shooting skills, having the transmission equipment knowledge such as CTN is a plus. Manage the link build and arrange the resources of subcontractors according to the project delivery plan.

Direct, oversee and manage the subcontractor''s installation quality according to customer specifications and standards.

Lead discussion with customer''s transmission engineers and SME

End to End TX technologies managements

Maintain and oversee the completion of acceptance paperwork

MW troubleshooting

Ensure that the inventory of Microwave equipment is accurate for the new equipment installation and assist subcontractor and warehouse to return the unused or dismantled equipment.

Requirements:

At least 4 years’ experience in transmission microwave (MW) project for support or maintenance or implementation.

Understand the components and functions of MW, EBU, microwave network equipment, including IDU, ODU, CTN, Antenna, Switch, etc. Experience in installation and commissioning of MW equipment.

Good at communication, optimistic and proactive, able to bear the pressure of the project, willingness to go extra mile.

Valid Tower Climbing Certificate

Good management skills (preferred)

The candidate must have the following valid documents

Tower climbing Certificate

Health certificate (allow to work on height)

Driver license

Valid SA ID ,or Passport and SA work permit if they are foreign national

No criminal records
