Machine Optimisation Engineer

SUMMARY:

Internationally established Manufacturing organisation based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking to appoint a hands-on Machine Optimisation Engineer .

The Machine Optimisation Engineer will be responsible for evaluating and improving current machinery and operations.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• Analyse production / Maintenance data.
• Spend time in the production plant to monitor machines and processes.
• Conduct tests on machines.
• Report on progress and findings.
• Liaise with maintenance, projects, and production departments on machine improvement requests.
• Interact with design department on machine improvements.
• Presentations on areas of improvement.
• Feedback on improvements using data capturing.
• Compile feasibilities on potential opportunities.

Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant postgraduate experience.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is essential.
• Machine maintenance knowledge required.
• Sound financial understanding, to produce feasible studies.
