SUMMARY:

Internationally established Manufacturing organisation based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking to appoint a hands-on Machine Optimisation Engineer .

The Machine Optimisation Engineer will be responsible for evaluating and improving current machinery and operations.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

Analyse production / Maintenance data.
Spend time in the production plant to monitor machines and processes.
Conduct tests on machines.
Report on progress and findings.
Liaise with maintenance, projects, and production departments on machine improvement requests.
Interact with design department on machine improvements.
Presentations on areas of improvement.
Feedback on improvements using data capturing.
Compile feasibilities on potential opportunities.

Requirements:

National Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable
Minimum of 5 years’ relevant postgraduate experience.
Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is essential.
Machine maintenance knowledge required.
Sound financial understanding, to produce feasible studies.
