SUMMARY:
Internationally established Manufacturing organisation based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking to appoint a hands-on Machine Optimisation Engineer .
The Machine Optimisation Engineer will be responsible for evaluating and improving current machinery and operations.
POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:
- Analyse production / Maintenance data.
- Spend time in the production plant to monitor machines and processes.
- Conduct tests on machines.
- Report on progress and findings.
- Liaise with maintenance, projects, and production departments on machine improvement requests.
- Interact with design department on machine improvements.
- Presentations on areas of improvement.
- Feedback on improvements using data capturing.
- Compile feasibilities on potential opportunities.
Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant postgraduate experience.
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is essential.
- Machine maintenance knowledge required.
- Sound financial understanding, to produce feasible studies.
