Job Description
To provide ongoing maintenance support to enable a safe, efficient and functional working environment.
Experiential and Educational requirements:
Grade 12
2-3 years’ experience in maintenance or a related field
Basic knowledge of safety regulations and ISO standards
Technical or vocational training in one or more maintenance-related field
Additional certifications in plumbing, painting, or other relevant areas would be advantageous
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Good understanding of general maintenance tasks and techniques, e.g. painting, carpentry, and repairs.
Understanding of basic plumbing systems and ability to perform minor plumbing repairs or maintenance tasks.
Familiarity with safety protocols and ISO standards to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment.
Code B driver's licence for tasks such as transporting materials or equipment would be advantageous.
Basic proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word).
Able to lift heavy objects and do other labour-intensive tasks.
Competency Requirement:
Able to notice and address small maintenance issues and ensure tasks are completed accurately and thoroughly.
Prioritises tasks, manage time effectively, and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure efficiency and meet deadlines.
Demonstrates effective communication skills to convey maintenance needs, collaborate with team members, and coordinate with stakeholders
Able to work collaboratively with colleagues, assist team members as needed, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Results oriented with a focus on achieving maintenance objectives, addressing defects promptly, and ensuring the quality and completeness of maintenance tasks
