SUMMARY:
Manufacturing company urgently seeking an individual with a in Mechanical Engineering. Solid experience in paper machine maintenance. Experience within a Heavy Engineering environment essential. This position will be responsible for all planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance. Strong leadership skills required yet willing to be hands on when needed.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements

BSc/BTech/N.Dip. Mechanical Engineering.
5 years post qualification experience in heavy engineering environment.
2 years spent on paper machine maintenance.
Knowledge of OHS Act.
Shut planning and capex planning.
Management and control of department budget.

Responsibilities

Mechanical maintenance activities (planned and unplanned maintenance) are conducted to ensure the availability of the paper machine.
Asset management principles such as ‘Root cause analysis to reduce repeat failures.
Statutory mechanical work is conducted in accordance with required legislation such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Leadership and assistance of the machine mechanical team.
