SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking to appoint a candidate to manage and lead the maintenance function in their manufacturing facility.

POSITION INFO:

You will be required to lead in the safe and cost-effective execution of maintenance and project work to improve the availability and reliability of plant and equipment

Minimum qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mech or Elec)
Government Certificate of Competency advantageous
MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Operating computer systems
Familiar with maintenance management systems
Product and Process Knowledge

Key Result Areas:

Facilitate the management of a safety, health and environmental management programme in the workplace (ISO14001 and ISO45001).
Comply with legal requirements within the area of responsibility
Implement and maintain robust 5S systems within the workplace
Manage and implement the Maintenance Quality Assurance systems
Develop the Maintenance Strategy and ensure implementation
Compile and manage the Preventive Maintenance Programme
Monitor performance against budget (expense controls, variances, etc.)
Initiate requests for CAPEX/Disposal/Transfers
Approve Stores Requisition for spares and consumables
Ensure the effective management of the maintenance and fabrication workshop
Support R&D with product realisation by fabrication of prototypes and jigs for use in manufacturing
Participate in the estimation and preparation of cost budget for a project or sub-project
Manage implementation of Engineering Projects
Support the project environment and activities to deliver project objectives
Develop and implement continuous improvement interventions
