Maintenance Engineer- Automotive

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking to appoint a candidate to manage and lead the maintenance function in their manufacturing facility.

POSITION INFO:

You will be required to lead in the safe and cost-effective execution of maintenance and project work to improve the availability and reliability of plant and equipment

Minimum qualifications:             

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mech or Elec)
• Government Certificate of Competency advantageous
• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Operating computer systems
• Familiar with maintenance management systems
• Product and Process Knowledge

Key Result Areas:

• Facilitate the management of a safety, health and environmental management programme in the workplace (ISO14001 and ISO45001).
• Comply with legal requirements within the area of responsibility
• Implement and maintain robust 5S systems within the workplace
• Manage and implement the Maintenance Quality Assurance systems
• Develop the Maintenance Strategy and ensure implementation
• Compile and manage the Preventive Maintenance Programme
• Monitor performance against budget (expense controls, variances, etc.)
• Initiate requests for CAPEX/Disposal/Transfers
• Approve Stores Requisition for spares and consumables
• Ensure the effective management of the maintenance and fabrication workshop
• Support R&D with product realisation by fabrication of prototypes and jigs for use in manufacturing
• Participate in the estimation and preparation of cost budget for a project or sub-project
• Manage implementation of Engineering Projects
• Support the project environment and activities to deliver project objectives
• Develop and implement continuous improvement interventions
