POSITION INFO:

Maintenance General Worker

Location: Stellenbosch | Luxury Estate
Department: Engineering & Maintenance
Employment Type: Full-Time

A luxury estate in Stellenbosch is looking for a reliable and hardworking Maintenance General Worker to support the upkeep, functionality, and presentation of its facilities. This role suits a practical individual with broad maintenance experience and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, painting, carpentry, and repairs
Assist with routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and operational standards across the property
Support senior technicians and artisans as required
Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are used and stored correctly

Requirements

Previous experience in a general maintenance or handyman role
Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems (non-certified)
Reliable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious
Ability to work outdoors and in varying conditions
Willingness to work weekends or public holidays if required
