Maintenance Handyman

The handyman will be a person who is practical and very good with working their hands. Their job description covers a variety of duties that involve repairing and maintaining buildings and equipment, both indoor and outdoor at Client .

• The handyman will ensure that facilities and equipment in Client are in good working condition.
• The handyman’s responsibilities involve general maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness in Client to ensure that facilities and equipment are always in working order.
• The handyman must have knowledge of health and safety and be able to carry out regular checks and report back on findings.
• Have a good knowledge of carpentry, the handyman will make sure that the office furniture is in working order.
• The handyman also oversees the painting and renovation of offices and buildings as required.
• It will be the duty of the handyman to ensure that all office appliances are always repaired and functioning well.
• The handyman must have knowledge of plumbing and should be able to fix minor plumbing works that may arise.
• The handyman must also have some knowledge of electrical work and be able to fix minor electrical faults.
• Overseeing building maintenance includes informing the management about building and office equipment that needs to be replaced, and ordering for new ones as directed by the management.
• The handyman is required to keep good records of expenses made on the repair and purchase of building and office equipment and presenting them upon request by management.
• The handyman is expected to carry out inspections and report on facilities in Client as per the maintenance schedule.
• The handyman is mandated to always make him available and to respond promptly to emergencies that may arise from building or office equipment or appliances malfunctioning.
• The position requires that the handyman is the contact person and be a key holder for security related matters afterhours and be available when the security company calls.
