Maintenance Manager Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the Forestry sector is looking to employ a Maintenance Manager to join their dynamic team in the Eastern Cape (UGIE)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description:

Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations.
Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance.
Ensure that all machinery is maintained as per industry best practices for optimal uptime.
Create and implement maintenance procedures.
Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
Plan and manage maintenance stops and annual shutdowns.
Ensure all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates.
Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
Ensure plant spares availability, identify and implement critical spares where necessary.
Manage departmental foreman ensuring all administrative tasks are completed according to company standards.
Performance management of departmental foreman.
Ensure a high standard of housekeeping in all Engineering areas

Job Requirements:

Matric/Grade 12
N6 or equivalent mandatory.
GCC (Factories) would be advantageous
Trade Tested
8 – 10 years relevant experience in a heavy industry environment with proven people management experience
Registration as a professional engineer would be considered advantageous
