Maintenance Planner

SUMMARY:
My client is seeking a Maintenance Planner to manage and coordinate all maintenance activities on site. This position is based in Lichtenburg.

POSITION INFO:

Experience and Qualifications:

• Diploma Maintenance Planning
• N5 (Electrical/Mechanical), N6 (Electrical/Mechanical), Millwright or B. Tech equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in maintenance planning
• MS Office software (Excel, E-mail, Word, Project etc.)
• Strong organizational and planning ability
• Strong teamwork (flexibility to work across the areas and positively influencing others
• Establish clear direction and making decisions on a timely manner
• CMMS Software

• Legal Compliance and statutory inspection planning.
• Maintain maintenance system master data.
• Maintenance Operation and Control – Implement, prepare, prioritize and distribute maintenance job cards.
• Daily report on CMMS.
• Analyze data to identify improvement requirements and problems in areas relating to maintenance task execution Maximizing equipment reliability and availability through using planned maintenance most effectively – Plan for the future.
• Manage and provide assistance to engineering and production departments for spare parts and initiate PM Lists and preventative maintenance job cards for new equipment.
• Conduct Maintenance cost analysis and make recommendations to change equipment that is not cost effective
• Maintain and manage the Inventory control of the maintenance store.
• Order, receive and supervise required material to assist maintenance activities.
• Maintain the Plant inventory and asset stock lists Collect drawings, manuals and other documents to assist contractor and maintenance repairs or modifications.
• Coordinate and plan plant shutdowns to attain all essential schedules planned and arrange activities related with equipment maintenance to enhance equipment and plant accessibility and competence supporting site production supplies.
• Promote an actively caring culture for safety amongst all personnel, contractors and visitors.
• Strong team leader skills, to ensure multiple activities are executed accurately, to company high standards and on time
• Pro-actively support all HSE procedures and policies including JSA & RA for maintenance activities and participate in investigations, 5why’s etc Maintaining and participate in the one PSS system on site. Support department’s compliance to any Lean Manufacturing goals and objectives.
