SUMMARY:
Maintenance Planner

POSITION INFO:

Custodianship of the CMMS (JDE).
Responsible to maintain all plant equipment within the CMMS and to ensure that all work is scheduled through the CMMS.
Ensuring that Planned Maintenance is professionally performed as per the company policy.
Reporting on work schedules within the CMMS in terms of corrective, preventative, predictive and planned maintenance.
Auditing systems to ensure that repair schedules and performance expectations are met.
Communicates with the Procurement and Stores departments regarding the ordering and availability of materials and spares and inventory levels required to ensure Plant performance.
Prepare and maintain weekly maintenance schedules.
Report and provide feedback on the efficiency of routine maintenance tasks to the shift and engineering teams and highlight non-compliance and problems that need to be addressed. Budget vs. actual spending control on a Weekly basis.
Plan, schedule and coordinate Plant shut down activities.
Responsibility to manage and utilize all the resources during the planned shut to minimize the time required for the shut as well as Planned Maintenance .
Coordinating of pre-shut and post shut meetings.
Plan all activities associated with planned and unplanned plant outages to provide for maximum use of available resources.
Recommend and manage the need for scheduling external resources as and when required.
Support all company safety, health, environmental and quality programs and policies, and be accountable for the performance of these programs within the Department.
Maintain high level of service and work performance.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical Qualification in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering
Prefer two (2) years CMMS experience
Prefer 3-5 years maintenance experience
SAP is essential
