Maintenance Shift Manager - Middleburg, Mpumalanga

A world class and a leading producer of stainless steel products is seeking to appoint a Maintenance Shift Manager to their dynamic Management team.

Requirements:

• Mechanical/Electrical N6, a valid Trade Test
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience
• Strong Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Hydraulic and Pneumatic knowledge is essential
• Completion of the Team manager development course and/or previous acting experience as a Shift Manager will be advantageous
• Computer literate ( MS Office )
• Must have the ability to cope well under pressure with high attention to detail
• Strong oral- and written communication abilities are essential

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for all after-hours maintenance, breakdowns, inspections and repairs for the Hot Products to ensure maximum plant availability.
• Ensure shift handover meetings are held and concise feedback is given to the relevant people.
• Liaise with production Team Managers and operators regarding problem areas, and conduct investigations.
• Organize spares or repairs from outside suppliers.
• Ensure that Safety regulations are adhered to.
• Manage human resources effectively.
