Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:
Well established client in the Steel industry has a vacancy for a Maintenance Technician based in Rustenburg, North West.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:
Repair and maintain all workshop equipment and machinery to minimize downtime inclusive but not limited to: Punch machines, Welding machines, Overhead cranes, Laser machines, Plasma machines, Roller and Bending machines
Attend to breakdowns
Execution of planned and preventative maintenance and repairs
Refurbishment and modification to existing machinery and equipment
Ordering of spares / parts
Report deterioration and wear and tear on machinery, equipment and facilities
Report any potential problems that could lead to downtime in the workshops
Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety rules and standards

Minimum Qualifications:
Matric
B Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Maintenance related qualification
Computer literate

Requirements, Skills & Abilities:
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within a machine maintenance environment
Valid Code 8 driver''s license
Bilingual (Afrikaans & English)
Able to work in a harsh fast paced environment
Strong mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of General Machinery Regulations
Proficient using manual and power tools
Troubleshooting skills
Problem solving and analytical skills
Able to multi-task
Able to handle pressure
Clear criminal record
