SUMMARY:
A well established FMCG giant in Waterfront, Cape Town, requires a Management Accountant who is competent in extensive variances reporting and analysis. Someone who enjoys analysing data and commenting on movements (exports, sales etc). A career track record as a Management Accountant is preferred, from the FMCG or retail space who has dealt with Sales and Marketing management accounts.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:
- BCom or relevant tertiary education.
- Management Accounting qualification and career path is essential.
- Computer literacy with a high degree of proficiency in MS Excel.
- Min 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Good computer literacy, experience in Qlikview or NAV preferred,
- Administrative skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good understanding of key business processes and practices.
- Demonstrates influencing skills.
- Accurate with strong attention to detail.
- Methodical and meticulous.
- Responsive and energetic.
- Ability to function independently and under pressure.
- Ability to filter information and assess priorities.

Duties and responsibilities:- General ledger provision reconciliations.
- Ensure that all the recons are completed on time, and accurately and that all reconciling items are cleared timeously.
- Prepare journals and ensure that all journals are accurate.
- Prepare monthly sales pack reports.
- Compiling various sales reports for the various markets/divisions as required.
- Compile and distribute monthly cost centre expense reports.
- Obtain information from the system, format reports, and distribute.
- Review and maintain selling expense cost rate tables.
- Ensure cost rate tables are aligned with actual selling expenses.
- Prepare the Consolidated Fixed and Variable Operating Expense report for monthly and board pack.
- Prepare Factory Shops income statements.
- Monthly Management, Quarterly Board, and Budget Pack.
- Adhoc reports and analysis.
- Open communication, liaising with Management.
- Ensure accuracy of work.
- Manage filing system.
