Management Accountant

A leading and listed manufacturing concern is looking for a seasoned finance professional to join their finance team as a Management Accountant. The Management Accountant will be responsible for providing support in the decision-making processes associated with all aspects of the business operations. This includes planning, monitoring, directing, analyzing, and reporting.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Management Accountant will be responsible for compiling, maintaining, and analyzing the monthly financial reports as well as analyzing the general ledger accounts, compiling, and analyzing the budgets and reconciling balance sheet items. The Management Accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining stock accuracy, capital assets with the Plant and managing the company fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing activities including approval of requisitions and generation of quotes and maintaining internal controls.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• BCom Honors in Accounting
• Completed articles
• Completed CIMA would be advantageous

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience dealing with stock/inventory processes
• Sound experience/broad understanding of finance and supply chain systems and procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of JD Edwards and Advanced Excel skills
• Strong financial reporting background
• Attention to detail
• Excellent people management and leadership skills
