SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Financial Manager you will be responsible for the accounting function of the factories, and alliance operations.

POSITION INFO:

This entails preparation of management accounts, financial planning and budgeting, reporting of budget variances, cost control and cost analysis programs. In addition, compile, maintain and report on Company’s financial and accounting data for these operations. Assistance with Financial planning, modelling, budgeting and forecasting. Assistance with company taxes including but limited to Income Tax, VAT, Carbon Tax, Royalty Tax, SARS e-filing. Assistance with company insurance matters. Special exercises for management concerning the analysis of factory operations.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Relevant tertiary Accounting qualification. B Com
CIMA is preferred.
A postgraduate qualification in Finance
Post article experience is beneficial
Minimum 3 years appropriate management experience in a manufacturing environment
Minimum 3 years appropriate management experience in an accounting environment
High-level computer literacy (including MS Office/Excel)
The ability to write advanced macros and produce high-level spreadsheets and financial modelling
Knowledge of online computer applications (JDE)
Analytical and detail-oriented with a good understanding of current accounting principles
Sound working knowledge of management accounting
Strong understanding of business principles and finance to interpret data and make strategic recommendations
Demonstrates understanding of all facets of business operations
Demonstrates ability to prioritize and plan work, handle a diversity of tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines consistently, manage projects and cope under pressure
Demonstrates commitment to teamwork, service, integrity and confidentiality. Confidence to communicate at all levels.
