SUMMARY:
A small and intimate River Safari Lodge is looking for a dynamic MANAGEMENT COUPLE

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking a management couple to oversee this intimate five-bedroom lodge which offers a blend of luxury and wilderness immersion. Designed for families or groups, the lodge combines modern self-catering convenience with the tranquility of a riverside sanctuary, making it a place where the rhythm of the bush and the comfort of home meet seamlessly.

Core Criteria:

Hospitality Management Diploma or equivalent
FGASA Level 1 (NQF 2) guiding qualification.
DEAT registration.
Valid PDP
Valid First Aid certification
Proven leadership and team motivation skills.
Solid knowledge of lodge management, guest services, HR, administration, guiding, maintenance, and gardens
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problemâsolving abilities under pressure
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with guests, staff, and stakeholders
Technical proficiency in Excel and Word.
Independent, flexible, and able to work extended or irregular hours.

Role 1:

Coordinating guest checkâins and checkâouts efficiently.
Creating a welcoming environment and addressing guest concerns.
Maintaining high standards across lodge operations.
Managing housekeeping staff and arranging relief when needed.
Preparing and submitting monthâend reports.
Managing payroll submissions.
Ordering and controlling stock, consumables, and lodge assets.
Overseeing HR, administration, and frontâofâhouse functions.

Role 2:

Conduct daily game drives
Hosting guests and sharing knowledge of the reserve and wildlife.
Managing gardens, lodge upkeep, and general maintenance.
Supervising staff across maintenance and grounds.
Ensuring safety standards

Work cycle of 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off
No pets permitted
