POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for a Managing Executive to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Managing the Financial metrics and drivers to create a sustainable business model .
* Growing the betting landscape.
* Implementing a property optimization strategy.
* Driving a digitization journey.
* Creating cost-efficient enablers of the Racing product (end-to-end) .
* Maximising marketing, events, and commercial sponsorships (including broadcast) .
* Enhancing the Racing Experience for owners, punters, guests, and stakeholders.
* Creating sustainable / optimal Stakes levels (in-season and out-of-season) .
* Focusing on the BBBEE scorecard to maintain a Level 4 rating or better.
* Ensuring compliance with the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board, NHRA.
* Developing a high performing team with a focus on commercial.

Qualifications

* Relevant business-related qualification (BCom) with either Honours or Masters (preferred).
* More than 10 years in a senior management role within the gaming, sports, leisure industry.
* Government and C Suite Stakeholder and relationship management experience.
* Experience in managing diverse operational teams and delivering net business value.
* Experience in delivering multiple large-scale projects (from conception to delivery) simultaneously.
* Strong financial background with a focus on cost management.
* Business process optimization.
* Property management and optimization experience preferred.
* General understanding of totalisator and fixed odds betting.
* Event Management, Marketing, Sponsorships.
* Ability to work well under pressure with strong change management skills.
* Build a high-performance culture.
