POSITION INFO:

A dynamic opportunity has opened for a Management and Cost Accountant to join a fast-paced, results-driven team. This role calls for a strategic thinker with an eye for detail and a strong command of cost accounting principles, who can confidently interrogate the numbers and influence financial decisions.

Key responsibilities and experience areas include:

Solid experience in standard, absorption and activity-based costing, including calculating overhead rates and reconciling labour/machining hours
Analysis of manufacturing over/under recoveries and profitability of finished goods
Forecasting cash flow models and preparing audit/budget schedules
In-depth understanding of bank guarantees, letters of credit, and revolving credit facilities
Familiarity with SARB submissions and transfer pricing regulations
Skilled in negotiating forward cover contracts and understanding FOREX revaluations and hedging
Experience with VAT audits and associated journal entries
Oversight of stock provisions, fixed asset registers, and payroll journals
Confident SAP user, particularly in cost centre allocations and budgeting processes
