Manager Business Intelligence

SUMMARY:
Design and develop strategy, processes and requirements to identify data that the business need to obtain with the purpose to understand the information that the data provide in order to accurately extract, assess, interpret, forecast and predict intelligence against the industry norms

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:
 Define the agricultural industry data and insight framework
Determine what data contribute to accurately identify the fundamental factors that influence the agricultural market per commodity and how this data provides insight to understand, forecast and predict the impact on commercial products and services. 
Core tasks:
-          Determine what data is currently being used to forecast the market conditions per commodity
-          Validate fundamental drivers of commodities throughout the value chain and production lifecycle
-          Define the strategy and approach to collect data relevant to the data and insight framework
-          Validate the integrity, usability and intelligence that can be obtained from the data collected
 
Create business Intelligence from information
Analyse data obtained from all sources into the insight framework and validate the information that it contains. Convert data into business insight by identifying the gap in opportunity between business and commercial operations. 
Core tasks:
-          Link data, information and intelligence extracted to a per client opportunity analysis compared to current customer business information
-          Classify data to identify what can be made available for commercial use, what is available as agricultural advice, wat is identifying demand opportunity, what influences the commodity markets and what can indicate business efficiency
-          Test the business intelligence extracted with relevant industry product and service experts and agree on the logic used to extract intelligence
-          Lead the development of a data strategy with the digital transformation executive team on how to extract and use data for digital transformation 
 
Automate the logic to extract insight from information
Research, design and implement leading technologies like Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to automate logic of creating business, industry, brand and competitor intelligence from data mined
 
Core tasks:
-          Lead the research into technology investments to create ability to process volumes of data (Big Data) and automate extracting and retention of relevant business, industry, brand, competitor, advisory, and customer intelligence
-          Validate the continued learning created from technology ensuring that intelligence created is true and relevant
-          Invest and implement data mining, data science and other relevant scientific approaches to identify correlations and trends that needs further investigations that could enhance our system of intelligence
 Recommend product and service changes from intelligence
Interpret the insights obtained from digital transformation initiatives against the current business models of products and services supplied to make recommendations on how these could be transformed or adjusted to ensure that they contribute to the sustainability of our customers operations.
 Core tasks:
-          Create and manage an engagement model with business partners to share intelligence created specifically indicating product and service gap analysis, changing trends and conditions and opportunity gap analysis
-          Share recommendations on customer, product, service, investment, advice, or other opportunity to transform or expand  business operational reach
-          Expand insights to commodities in agriculture that is not in current traditional customer base

Requirements:

• Degree and/or Diploma 

• 3+ Years comprehensive exposure to managing and converting data to information and interpreting findings as business intelligence
• Experience in the Agriculture industry would be an advantage
