We’re looking for a Manager: Collections Strategy to lead the development, implementation, and enhancement of strategies that improve collections efficiency, increase book performance, and drive meaningful business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the strategic development and optimisation of the collections function, aligning with business goals
Design, build, implement, and document collections models and strategies across the full lifecycle
Analyse portfolio-level data to identify key risk factors, root causes, and performance trends
Drive code optimisation, reporting automation, and advanced analytical insights
Manage target forecasting, scorecards, and monthly tracking in collaboration with BI and data teams
Provide insights and strategic guidance to support continuous improvement in overall collections performance
Recommend and execute champion/challenger strategies to drive portfolio profitability
Integrate models and analytics into operational processes to enhance collections and recoveries outcomes
Deliver strategic campaign plans to optimise utilisation of all available tools
Identify improvements to systems, processes, and policies in support of business strategy
Communicate complex technical information clearly to nonâtechnical stakeholders
Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and drive stronger performance outcomes

Key Performance Outcomes Include:

Improved collections rates
Reduced forward roll rates
Better yield percentages
Reduced cost to collect
Improved net lending margin
Lower non-performing loan ratios
Reduced credit loss ratios

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:
- Honours Degree or equivalent in:
  - BCom (Maths, Stats, and Finance), with Economics Econometrics, or Actuarial Science, or BSc Engineering (Preferred)
Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar strategy or analytics-focused role
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience with: SQL, R, Python, AWS, and advanced Excel
- Banking / Financial Services experience is advantageous
