POSITION INFO:
A leading financial institution is seeking a Manager: Credit Evaluations to join their Credit Risk team in Bloemfontein. If you’re passionate about credit analysis, decision-making, and driving responsible lending—this could be your next step.
What You’ll Do:
- Evaluate lending applications and assess client financials, cash flows, and debt exposure
- Make informed credit decisions aligned with policy, regulation (e.g., NCA), and risk appetite
- Recommend lending structures that balance client needs and credit principles
- Conduct client engagements to understand business models and financial capacity
- Identify, assess, and mitigate credit risks proactively
- Collaborate with internal teams to support asset growth and ecosystem strategies
- Coach and support colleagues to enhance credit capability across the team
What We’re Looking For: - Solid experience in credit risk, loan assessments, and financial analysis
- Advanced knowledge of credit processes, product policies, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong decision-making and communication skills
- Ability to interpret data, understand business trends, and structure appropriate credit solutions
- A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
Preferred Qualifications: - Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Experience in business or commercial banking credit roles
- Familiarity with affordability models, scorecards, and collateral evaluation
