SUMMARY:
A 6 months fixed term contract for Manager: Finance Accounting exist at our client office in Pretoria. The functions will include the management of the following; Accounts payables, Asset Management and Facilities Management

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications and Experience

Three (3) year Diploma or Degree in Finance or Acconting is required

A postgraduate qualification in Finance or Management studies will be an advantage

At least a minimum of five (5) year`s experience in the finance sector, of which three (3) years should be at management level

Must have served articles

Valid driver`s license

Key Performance areas;

Finance and bookkeeping

Manage the preparation of the annual financial statements

Manage the implemantation of systems of internal controls

Coordinating the preparation and submission of financial reports according to treasury regulations and guidelines

Coordinate the management of the trial balance to ensure that all items are correctly allocated and all suspense accounts are cleared

Assisting the Senior Manager: Finance in the development and implementation of investment plans and strategies

Asset Management

Review monthly renconcilliations between the asset register and general ledgers to ensure all asset have been accounted for

Ensure that the existence of all assets are verified and accounted for on an annual basis and that findings are reported to relevant managers/executives

Ensure that the general condition of all assets are reviewed aanually in accordance with the applicable accounting standards

Prepare recommendations to dispose -off redundant or obsolete assets

Governance, reporting and auditing matters;

Coordinate the financial reporting process so that Senior Manager: Finance and Mnagement Team are provided with up-to-date financial information and are informed of the financial status on an ongoing basis, as well as to ensure that financial reports are submitted within prescribed timelines

Ensure that internal and external audit queries are resolved timely and that information is provied.
