POSITION INFO:

Summary:

Facilitate higher certificate Learning, Development and Mentorship for Mining and Technical Services disciplines.

Provide strategic and tactical leadership enabling Mining and Technical Learning and Development to optimise delivery.

Facilitate the identification, development and implementation of Learning and Development business improvement interventions in accordance with frameworks, instructions and operational parameters.

 

The appointee should:

  • Be in possession of a Mine Managers Certificate of competency.
  • Have at least 7 years’ experience in a related role, of which 3 years should have been experience in a similar functional management role.
  • Have a good understanding of skills Development, Labour Relations and relative Mining Legislation.
  • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Occupational Health Centre.

Advantageous requirements:

  • Degree in Mining Engineering
  • Degree in Human Resource Development/ Management
  • HRD/HRM discipline management experience
  • Strong Financial and leadership Management Skills

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate higher certificate Learning, Development and Mentorship for Mining and Technical Services disciplines.
  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership enabling Mining and Technical Learning and Development to optimise delivery.
  • Facilitate the identification, development and implementation of Learning and Development business improvement interventions in accordance with frameworks, instructions and operational parameters.
  • Facilitate and influence the delivery of Learning and Development process and programmes to ensure campuses proactively drive the operational requirement of the Mining and Technical Services disciplines.
  • Lead research and the establishment of benchmark learning performance parameters and practice.
  • Facilitate the development and embedding of a learning culture principles within the Learning and Development discipline.
  • Investigate and evaluate new technology, methodologies and procedures to ensure learning delivery transformation and improvement.
