Position: Manager Reliability Engineering & Condition Monitoring

The Management Reliability Engineering & Condition Monitoring is responsible for reliability, condition monitoring and non-destructive evaluation across the mine. These teams address challenges, identify opportunities, develop strategies, establish best practices, and implement programs to improve the asset health and manage risk associated with assets to improve the performance of our assets to realise value to the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Implement and manage reliability, condition monitoring and non-destructive evaluation models.
• Improvement and management of reliability, condition monitoring and non-destructive processes and standards in line with best practice.
• Benchmarking of reliability, condition monitoring and non-destructive evaluation processes in the industry.
• Manage the updating of reliability, condition monitoring and non-destructive procedures in line
with best practice.
• Review and manage asset maintenance strategies and tactics for existing assets including CBP’s.
• Ensure the development of critical asset and spare part lists, BOM’s and holding
recommendations for existing fixed and mobile assets.
• Implement and manage asset risk profiling and asset health processes in line with best practice.
• Ensure compliance to maintenance schedule on all three reliability processes.
• Reporting on all recommendations from root cause, condition monitoring and NDE analysis.
• Reporting on reliability, condition monitoring and non-destructive evaluation performance.
• Represent the Reliability Monitoring Team in all SHEQ Departmental meetings across the
business.
• Monitor compliance to processes after implementation.
• Compile and manage the department budget.
• Identify reliability & condition monitoring cost reduction opportunities
• Through prioritization and engagement with key stakeholders further develop opportunities into
feasible project charters
• Project management of reliability & condition monitoring projects
• Oversee and drive the management of change process to ensure the objectives of the project are
met and sustained post implementation
• Build and maintain an effective reliability & condition monitoring system for the mine
• Provide a technical service to the business to ensure advancements and sustainability in reliability
& condition monitoring
• Assist with annual reliability & condition monitoring related budgeting throughout the mine

Qualifications & Experience:
• Higher National Diploma, Honours Degree, or BSc (Eng.) Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Equivalent,
• 10 - 15 years’ experience with maintenance management and reliability engineering
• 8 - 10 years Engineering / Production at middle management level.
• ECSA Registered
• Registered as a Project Management Professional advantageous.
• Good reporting and computer skills.
• Valid driver’s licence.
