POSITION INFO:
PURPOSE:
To manage and coordinate all operational functions within the branch to ensure seamless execution of services in line with SOPs, SLAs, IMS standards, and client expectations. This includes operational oversight, people and cost management, compliance, and ensuring all deliverables meet performance and regulatory targets.
Duties:
SLE Report Oversight:
- Daily review and actioning of SLE reports including but not limited to Unassigned, Undelivered, On Floor, Collections, Floor Stocklist,
- Container Problems, Unscanned, Problem Trips and Container Headers.
- Ensure real-time visibility and corrective action with operational teams.
Full Operational Management:
- Run daily branch functions across divisions (Fashion, Healthcare, Contract Logistics, Closed Distribution Services, Express).
- Maintain consistent communication, plan deliveries/pick-ups, and ensure SLA-based execution and ensure Device usage (PDA)
Service Client Relationship Management:
- Lead service level execution per client SLA.
- Ensure POD return timelines are met, and complaints are handled swiftly and professionally.
Stock Asset Control:
- Ensure all on-floor stock is accounted for, execute regular cycle counts, and manage company asset integrity.
Financial Cost Control:
- Track daily branch expenses (diesel, CMC salaries, maintenance, overtime, etc.).
- Maintain control over budget usage and implement cost-saving measures.
People Management HR Oversight:
- Manage branch personnel scheduling, discipline, and development. Drive in-house training, onboarding, and team motivation sessions.
Fleet Management:
- Ensure vehicle inspections, maintenance planning, latent fault management, and compliance with vehicle SOPs.
Risk Security Management:
- Identify risks, oversee security processes, and ensure proper investigation of incidents.
- Support loss control via prevention strategies.
Internal Audit Preparation Management:
- Coordinate audit readiness, track findings, and lead action plan execution to close non-conformances on time.
Compliance Implementation (ISO Pharma):
- Drive IMS compliance (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, RTS, BCP, SAHPRA).
- Train and monitor adherence across all staff.
IMS System Maintenance:
- Maintain updated records, reporting, and control documents.
- Drive quality, safety, and environmental awareness.
Housekeeping Visual Management:
- Enforce daily housekeeping walkthroughs, ensure clean, safe, and efficient operational areas per RTS and GDP standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 Senior Certificate.
- 3-5 years’ experience in Warehouse / Distribution.
- 1-2 years management experience
Required Knowledge:
- Knowledge of WMS and TMS systems.
- Knowledge of SHEQ Management systems and processes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
