SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a driven, focused and innovative individual to ensure a value driven culture within the Finance organization and lead the Finance Operations and Growth within the given department. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years in a management position, with completed articles and experience in lodging or hospitality industry.

POSITION INFO:

Responsible for the budgeting, forecasting and funding

Develop and implement long-term strategies for the finance organization

Facilitate seamless integration of additional functions

Cultivate and enhance effective relationships with the businesses to understand current and future business needs

Drive cultural change and acceptance of new finance operating model across the enterprise

Monitor and ensure metrics and KPIs are met as set in the SLAs

Understanding of general finance reporting, P&L, Budget, KPIs

Ability to develop budgets and effectively manage costs

Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations etc. to various stakeholders

Ensure compliance with local laws and company’s internal policies

Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned responsibilities

Maintain a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets

Ensure completion of period end function each period

Demonstrate knowledge in managing and developing team members

Use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, develop financial spreadsheets, set up functions, enter data, or process information.

Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial and business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.

Provide constructive coaching and counseling to employees

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 5 years in a leadership position managing a team

Experience in lodging or services industry highly beneficial

Experiencing in implementing internal controls

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent

Completed SAICA articles

CA(SA) beneficial
