Managing Director (must have extensive FMCG experience)

SUMMARY:
The Managing Director will assume direct responsibility for the management & performance of the business and focus on the market share growth

POSITION INFO:

Key responsibilities:

• A key deliverable of this role is aggressive revenue growth within the industry and adjacent Categories
• Developing new, high-growth categories by leveraging the company’s competencies and Brand.
• Margin recovery of the current portfolio as agreed in the budgeting process 
• Deliver the other agreed budgeted business performance deliverables in terms of traditional business metrics, including: Revenue growth, GP%, Cost Control, Operating Profit and Operating Margin, Working Capital utilization and cash generation. 
• Look for synergies and efficiencies within the Company to drive profitability.
• Instill a sense of urgency and entrepreneurial flair within the Sales & Marketing teams to take advantage of opportunities that exist or present themselves in the short & medium term 
• Drive strong relationships with the trade to achieve the short & medium term goals of the business
• Deliver strong and sustainable market share for the company through brand equity development and by delivering/executing a strong innovation vision board in the short and medium term.
• Develop a strong, engaged, results-orienated management team and in time, be able to implement succession planning for the future.
• Drive the vision of the group and be seen as a strong company ambassador to delivering the group culture within the division.

Requirements:

Relevant degree with preference for Financial or Marketing qualifications. MBA or similar is an advantage.

Minimum 7 Years’ experience in a senior management role at a recognized FMCG business.

Knowledge of manufacturing and operations is an advantage.
