SUMMARY:
Managing Executive required to devise strategies and policies to ensure that the organization meets its goals. Plan, direct, and coordinate operational activities of the organization.

POSITION INFO:
Must have previously worked in a role that required involvement with budgets. Ideally a CA or strong commerce degree. Required to analyse financial statements to direct business decisions.

Requires someone who has worked closely in retail operations as the candidate will be responsible for directing the regional teams nationally to manage the store’s operations. This will require regular national travel to stores.

Must provide overall direction to the other departmental heads for business decisions. A Strong business acumen and savvy is required.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with key department representatives such as Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Product Development, Merchandise Planning and Field Management on all information and content, development, and delivery
  • Responsible for the development and execution of a continuous improvement model related to the business strategy
  • Give strategic advice and report results and findings
  • Keep all relevant stakeholders informed of developments with company’s objectives
  • Ensure employees move in the same strategic direction to achieve its mission
  • Create and report on business plans, monitoring its efficacy and progress
  • Research and implement new initiatives to drive revenue, lower operating costs, all while delivery excellent customer support.
  • Continuous monitoring of the annual budget and ensure that revenue/sales targets are met
  • Manage key personnel, clients, franchisees and service providers Maintain the quality of products, services, customer support and level of service in line with service level agreements and other retention strategies.
  • Promote the wellness of staff and implementing policies in line with labour legislation and health and safety guidelines to create a diverse and positive working environment.
  • Preparation of annual reports and attending/presenting at various meeting

Operational Management and Store Performance:
Through the creation and enforcement of store operations and procedures will help the company achieve a significant positive impact on the effectiveness of the following functions:

▪ Sales & Marketing
▪ IT
▪ Customer Operations
▪ Technical Operations
▪ Profit and Loss

  • Sets budgets for store performance in line with business expectations and store performance
  • Works with role-players to improve customer service levels and adherence to operating expense targets
  • Monitors store operating expenses against plan, assesses exceptions, and takes corrective action
  • Manages performance of stores against established service level agreements and financial targets
  • Monitors Store Shrink trends and performs exception/root cause analysis
  • Enforces compliance to store operating procedures
Store Standards:
  • Drives store standards by monitoring scheduling, traffic, and general trends that impact sales and store performance
  • Monitors revenue to ensure store resource levels are appropriate for store sales volume
  • Makes recommendations relating to Employee Development / Store Skills Development & Training
  • Provides operational support for Field Managers and sets desired standards of operation
  • Works closely with the leadership team to help identify best practices to leverage across the retail channel
  • Ensures consistent execution of store processes and customer strategies across geographies
  • Develop, design, and implement store processes, procedures, and policies to maximize business results
  • Enhance the customer experience

Business Development:
  • Responsible for driving company sales by sourcing new stores
  • Encourages franchisees to join the network and investment in the brand
  • Assessing feasibility of sites
  • Lease negotiation
  • Franchisee selection
  • Assisting with the process of securing franchisee finance
  • Maintenance of landlord relationship
  • Ongoing assessment of profitability of stores within the network
  • Remaining abreast of mall prevalence
