Requirements:
The Superintendent Engineer is primarily responsible for providing:
- The scope compilation, costing, planning and the compilation of tenders or proposals to customers
- Complete Planning and management for projects
- Financial, Technical and document closure of projects
- Compilation and control of technical specifications
- Project & Sales Support
- Project control & Technical support
- Trouble shooting/breakdowns/field service support/machine failure investigation
- Project Control & technical support functions
- Fault Finding, investigations, Customer Support, Quality Control and Safety Management
- Time Management, Cost Management, Engine disassembly
- Engine measurements, Engine assembly
- Knowledge of marine applications – engines/generators/oil mist detectors/oil water separators, performance tests
- Equipment alignment
- Maintain accurate records of all attendances & jobs performed
- Accurate completion of Time sheets
- Accurate completion of Travel expenses
- Accurate technical report writing
- Preparation of work time estimations (input schedule)
- Organization of the working packages to be done related to engine commissioning
- Ensure SHEQ compliance
- Ensure that the equipment works to its specification
- Witness test results
- Supervision of engineering and technical staff
- Troubleshooting
- Engine overhauling on two stroke, medium & high speed engines
