Marketing & Sales Manager

SUMMARY:
The Marketing & Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to strengthen brand presence, increase direct bookings, and drive occupancy growth across luxury hospitality properties. This is a remote role suited to a dynamic and results-driven professional with a strong understanding of tourism, hospitality, and digital marketing.
The ideal candidate will be based in either Johannesburg or Cape Town and must be able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, generate quality leads, and improve occupancy rates
• Plan, execute, and optimise multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms
• Manage and maintain all social media platforms, ensuring engaging, consistent, and brand-aligned content
• Create compelling content for social media, email campaigns, blogs, and promotional materials
• Oversee website content updates and ensure SEO best practices are implemented
• Monitor and analyse campaign performance, providing regular reports and actionable insights
• Conduct market research to identify tourism trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences
• Manage email marketing campaigns and online advertising to maximise return on investment
• Work closely with reservations and operations teams to promote specials, packages, and seasonal offers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agents, tour operators, influencers, and media partners
• Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all digital and print marketing channels
• Drive sales growth through targeted marketing efforts and strategic partnerships

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field Experience Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a marketing and sales role, preferably within hospitality, tourism, or luxury travel Proven track record of increasing accommodation occupancy and achieving measurable sales growth Experience managing digital marketing campaigns and social media platforms Strong understanding of SEO, email marketing, and online advertising Skills & Competencies Strong digital marketing knowledge and campaign management skills Excellent content creation, copywriting, and storytelling abilities Proficiency in social media platforms and analytics tools Strong organisational and project management skills Ability to analyse performance data and adjust strategies accordingly Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Creative thinking and problem-solving skills Experience with graphic design and video editing software will be advantageous Requirements Must be based in Johannesburg or Cape Town Must have reliable internet and the ability to work remotely Willingness to travel when required Personal Attributes Self-motivated and driven Creative and innovative Results-oriented Professional and adaptable Passionate about hospitality, tourism, and brand growth
