Marketing And Events Manager – Food Manufacturing

SUMMARY:
A well-established food manufacturer with an international footprint requires the above to coordinating and managing a wide range of marketing processes, events and projects.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements for the role:

• A degree or diploma or certificate or related qualification in marketing or related field is essential for this role.
• Previous experience having worked in a marketing role ideally within the baking and or food manufacturing or related markets is preferred.
• An understanding of the bakery and related industries is preferred but not essential.
• Must have effective communication skills, good coordinating abilities and good management experience in handling the marketing projects and processes for the company.
• Must have good Microsoft office skills such as excel, PowerPoint, word, and Outlook skills.
• Previous experience working with Syspro and Adobe is preferred but not essential.
• The successful candidate must be able to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Must have a strong general understanding of marketing principles.
• The person needs to have a strong innovative ability with ideas and solutions as well as a can-do attitude.
• Previous experience having worked in a strategic and creative marketing role wherein you are working closely with various agencies on different projects is essential for this role.
• Must have basic copywriting skills and should be able to rework content for a wider audience.

• Coordinating and managing a wide range of marketing processes, events and projects for locally and internationally.
• Interacting with, customers, suppliers, sales, product development, operations and the management team to ensure that the collateral and other communications accurately reflect the brand of the co.
• Performing a range of administrative and marketing support duties related to the daily operations for the co.
• Coordinating a wide range of integrated communication and marketing activities at corporate level.
• Sourcing and distributing giveaways and other promotional items.
• Coordinating production and distributing newsletters and other forms of communication.
• Developing and placing adverts with selected publications.
• Developing annual brand plan based on the company’s strategy.
• Planning and preparing for and attending tradeshows, company sponsored promotions and events.
• Interfacing and working with advertising agencies and marketing suppliers to achieve specific objectives.
• Managing the content on website and social media platforms.
