Marketing Manager – Pretoria

The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Sales team with regards to the setting of targets and pricing strategies. The Marketing Manager will also be responsible for the management of the approved marketing budget, creative, communications and digital suppliers, and will play a critical role in aligning creative direction with the company’s strategic goals.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop strategies and tactics and oversee all marketing campaigns for the company in South Africa and Africa.

Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution.

Understand and manage a variety of organic and paid marketing activities such as content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, brand management, graphic design, newsletters and performance analysis.

Oversee and approve marketing material, including digital and physical marketing material in line with the corporate identity.

Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors.

Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds wisely.

Represent the marketing team to cross-functional groups including product management, sales, or customer support.

Updating senior leadership on the progress of marketing activities and measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals.

Analyze consumer behavior and adjust campaigns accordingly.

Day-to-Day Duties:

Manage and coordinate marketing and creative suppliers.

Lead market research efforts to uncover the viability of current and existing products/services.

Collaborate with media organizations and advertising agencies.

Brainstorm ideas for new campaigns.

Coordinate with the sales team and other departments to produce effective strategies.

Monitor current campaigns, ensuring deadlines are met and complete necessary tasks.

Analyze data to evaluate the success of the marketing efforts and come up with new ideas to improve brand marketing and exposure.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Marketing and/or Communications.

Minimum 10 years of experience.

Experience in other African territories will be advantageous.
