Marketing Officer - Technical/Engineering sector

Our client, a leading engineering service provider to the agricultural sector, seeks to employ a Marketing Officer for their operation in the Winelands, however the scope of the role covers both South Africa and the African market. .

Please note the this role does require a candidate with a technical marketing background, preferably working with products and services in the engineering sector . A technical understanding of the sector is critical.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:

You must be able to work independently and accurately keep records and be proactive in your approach to ensuring the profitability of the company.

• You must have completed a Diploma or degree in Marketing, coupled with 2-5 years experience in the marketing of technical equipment and products for the engineering or technical services sector in South Africa and other African countries
• You will have proven experience in strengthening brand awareness on various media platforms, as well as developing and implementing a clear and decisive marketing strategy across various product lines
• You will have proven experience in the implementation and management of a CRM system
• You will have superior expertise in overseeing social media and electronic campaigns, analyzing results and reporting on trends, analytics and statistics.
• You will have previous experience in attending trade shows and exhibitions within the agricultural sector, where you have professionally and successfully represented a brand in a similar sector
• You will have exceptional written and content development abilities, as well as a creative flair to work with graphics design team to develop new marketing material for the target market
• The role does require travel and therefore you will be able to do so and meet the requirements of local and international travel (i.e fully vaccinated, passport, valid passport, etc)
• You must have a valid driver’s license, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
