POSITION INFO:

A well-established and trusted household name / brand, is currently looking to employ a Marketing Specialist, to their dynamic team.

Â

Main purpose of the position:

• Implement marketing and business plans that build market share
• Implement and manage a strategic marketing and communications plan
• Implement and manage public relations plan
• Delivery of high quality events and promotions for increased revenue, visibility and leads
• Manage company website, social media platforms
• Manage company charitable and corporate social investment projects
• Attendance at media launches, client functions, trade shows, public meetings and other events as and when required
• Maintain the company brand and perception of the brand in the market place
• Manage the Marketing department, and oversee company functions and events
• Negotiate trade exchange and promotions with clients and potential clients
• Handle administration

KPI''s:

Expand Marketing Share:

• Assist every department within the organisation with the necessary support, to retain and grow
• Maintain and raise awareness of the brand
• Assist the sales department with events/promotions to drive demand
• Generate demand by means of consistent communication to existing and non-company clients
• Analyse leads on a weekly/monthly basis to determine the strength of the sources

Gain more and retain Social Media Followers:

• Compile a weekly newsletter to be distributed via Mail Chimp on Fridays
• Create at least 5 content posts weekly
• Publish all goodwill deeds including compliments, arrest on social media as and when it happens
• Monitor the current Modus Operandi of general crime and communicate these points on social media
• Create engaging content for social media

Products and Services:

• In conjunction with the sales department, oversee current offerings and come up with initiatives for new products and services.
• Communicate the services with various media channels, advertising agencies, printers, radio, and other services to help marketing projects come to fruition
• Work with product development teams to manage new product developments and market them
• Research and ensure marketing is ahead with competitorsÂ

Completion of Adhoc duties:

• Assist Customer Service in communication and the retention of clients
• Monitor all social media groups, including WhatsApp and Telegram and provide assistance when and where possible
• Note compliments or complaints from social media and hand it over to the relevant department
• Attend internal meetings
• Attend community/outdoor safety meetings
• Assist with any administration needed.

Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification/ Digital Marketing/ Marketing
• Relevant industry experience.
• Strong digital focus/ Writing Skills
