POSITION INFO:
Purpose:
To analyse and formulate strategic sales and marketing initiatives, in order to develop a successful and sustainable CMD division. Identify and explore new business opportunities within our industry and continuously improve the market share through effective marketing and sales facilitation.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Business Management / Marketing / Administration preferable  

Minimum Experience:
Marketing and Sales in a heavy equipment industry: Operational 7 years; Managerial 3 years

Roles and Responsibilities include inter alia:
Strategy Formulation, Implementation, Management and Business Performance

• Analyse the South African Construction and Mining industry and identify areas of opportunity
• Provide strategic direction to CMD division by implementing initiatives that will increase efficiencies and operational standards of excellence.
• Support the Branch Network throughout HCSA’s territory including newly appointed sub-dealers.
• Align department strategies and objectives to HCSA business strategy.
• Monitor and analyse CMD division’s strategies and objectives, ensuring continuous improvement, including the increase and retention of market share.
• Manage and co-ordinate special projects

• Support the CMD division on the selling of new and used equipment and services.
• Continuously analyse and propose recommendations to ensure that the CMD division’s sales objectives are aligned with business objectives and BBBEE strategies.
• Liaise with technical department regarding the provision of technical and professional advice, support and consultation.
• Analyse economic trends and develop a sales and marketing strategy accordingly.
• Submit monthly reports to HCSA Sales Management

• Monitor, advise and assist the team on identification and exploitation of new business opportunities.
• Develop and maintain network with Major Mining Houses and Construction Companies.
• Support and assist the team to research market intelligence and assist in developing specific marketing strategies and plans.
• Monitor the development and evaluation of product packages to improve brand awareness.
• Ensure information provided, is aligned with industry trends

• Consult and advise CMD management on optimal equipment stock levels.
• Consult and advise CMD management on Long term inventory reduction strategies
