JOB SUMMARY:

A multinational agricultural company is seeking the above to implement the strategy for the assigned vegetable crops in the designated territory and act as the Product Marketing interface to the Territory Product Development Specialist(s) and Regional Portfolio Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture
Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing and business management within the vegetable seed sector is essential
Must have profound knowledge of the Vegetables Seeds market and customer needs
Good English language proficiency with the ability to implements effective product communications will be required
Previous experience in creating strong, distinctive crop plans and campaign plans is important
Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to provide a significant in-field presence (approx. 40-50% of time)

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Providing Attending to portfolio & pipeline requirements and Target Product Profiles with the aim to steer the development of a winning portfolio and pipeline for the Territory.
Planning and evaluating pre-commercial trials and coordinating trial seed availability to ensure a timely trial seed delivery into the countries.
Driving the assessment of NPI candidates with Territory Crop Unit team and facilitating pre-commercial field trials with sales teams.
Providing phase-in & phase-out recommendations to territory and regional portfolio teams & local PMD inputs.
Managing the local SKU range.
Positioning the new products (segmentation, technical / commercial positioning) and coordinating the NPIs.
Identifying in-& out-licensing opportunities and reporting them to Regional & Territory management.
Developing a Territory 3-year forecast and flagging major changes as part of S&OP.
Maintaining a strong connection with Supply.
Working with the Territory and local teams, to define and agree on the Territory marketing plan and annual sales campaigns for assigned crops.
Supporting sales force and demand creators by providing market trends, product and price positioning and technical expertise for customer complaints.
Planning and managing stage 6 trials to refine product positioning and plan for successful new product introductions (NPI’s).
Organising Product Advancement Tours in advance of the Management meeting.
Translating the Regional Trial Plan into detailed territory and business unit plans.
Planning the standard varieties, trial seeds allocation and key trait evaluation for the PLC 6 trials and demonstration trials.
Planning and evaluating key trials with key producers, and organising trials with the Technical Sales Representatives.
Collecting and consolidating trial results and data into Trial reports.
Refining the product positioning for launching varieties and defining the key buying factors.
Preparing variety forecasts for three years forward into IBP and reviewing this on ‘moments that matter’ for seed production.
Providing technical support to key producers and the sales team to prepare sales arguments and after sales support.
Providing investigation support for customer complaints.

Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained
