Materials, Fleet and Logistics Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading subcontractor to the construction sector seeks to employ a qualified candidate, who has a strong background in materials management, logistics and managing the company fleet and equipment.

POSITION INFO:

Please note that due to the urgency to place this role, candidates in Cape Town and surrounds will receive preference.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION

• You will have completed a qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business Management, Coupled with 5+ years experience in the management of a technical/construction material store, procurement, company fleet of vehicles and equipment, as well as logistics to construction sites.
• You will have strong background in effectively managing materials, from sourcing suppliers, implementing loss/risk elimination policies, scheduling orders with the buyer, managing quality of stock and forecasting material requirements from project schedules.
• You will have natural leadership skills in order to manage a diverse team within stores, purchasing, drivers and administration.
• You will have experience in compiling department budgets, monitoring expenses, forecasting of materials and mitigating.
• You will have a background in managing company vehicles, licenses, investigation on accidents, insurances and tracker/mileage monitor software, as well as any maintenance required.
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel and ERP system (SAP, SYSPRO or PASTEL) is essential
• You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
