Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the mechanic in servicing and repairing heavy duty trucks and petrol passenger vehicles.
- Perform vehicle maintenance tasks as directed by senior mechanics.
- Conduct routine troubleshooting and diagnostic tests on vehicles.
- Support the maintenance of workshop cleanliness, order, and proper tool conditions.
- Travel to perform breakdown and roadside assistance when required.
- Be available on standby for emergency repairs, as per roster.
- Uphold strict standards of honesty and integrity, particularly regarding the handling of onsite diesel storage.
- Provide support for various mechanical tasks, as instructed.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum: High School Diploma (Grade 12).
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Mechanic Assistant or in a similar mechanical support role.
- Valid Code 14 Driver’s License is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work on both heavy duty trucks and petrol passenger vehicles.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform in high-pressure and deadline-driven environments.
- Proven professionalism and strong work ethic.
- Strong employment references.
- No criminal record.

Salary & Benefits:
- Competitive monthly salary: R12,000 to R15,000.
