Mechanical Design Engineer

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Technical Drawing (EGD)
• Tertiary qualification - bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field [B.Eng Mech]
• 2-5 Years Experience in the Design and Manufacturing industry
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor & Vault (Highly Advantageous) and SolidWorks
• Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and the costs associated with manufacture
• Understanding of welding, welding procedures, NDT and applicable welding specifications
• Proven Track Record of Previous Projects
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to manage projects, design within budgets, create Gantt charts, etc.
