SUMMARY:
A distinguished market leader is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to form part of their team. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys coming up with innovative, proficient and high-quality component and machine designs that will be used for manufacturing purposes.

POSITION INFO:

Creating accurate drawings within Solidworks to be used in the manufacture of high-quality products

Conducting concept and design reviews

Problem solving and time management

Provide creative and technical solutions for cost savings, product improvements and service issues

Collaborate with overseas suppliers and customers on designs

Conducting finite element analysis

Designing new systems using new parts and updated layouts

Skills & Experience:

Mechanical component or machine design experience is essential

Computer literate (Advanced MS Excel)

Outstanding task management capabilities

3D computer aided design software experience is essential

Able to work well in a fast-paced environment

Great eye for detail and proficiency

Immaculate communication skills (Written and verbal)

Minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role

Qualification:

BEng/BSc/BTech/NDip Mechanical Engineering

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
