Position: Mechanical Design / Product Engineer (Technician)
Location: Kempton Park
International Manufacturer specializing in steel product designs for varied applications. Client based in various continents but manufacture machines and parts in Johannesburg East
Qualification and experience:
- National Diploma / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
- More than 5 years working experience in Mechanical Product Design welding, Symbol skills, SolidWorks Design Skills
- Good technical skills, Solid AutoCAD and SolidWorks fabrication drawing experience
- Must know welding symbols, understand machine tolerances and machines
- Interest in the design of and projects
Responsibilities:
- Quality on floor, drafting and assisting Project Manager with projects
- Must know welding symbols, understand machine tolerances and machines
- Confident in sales engineering and must have a personality
- Interest in the design and projects
- Mentoring Junior CAD people
- Technical, will have to guide Production Manager on manufacturing ability
- Will be a link between design office on complex projects
- Liaise with various clients as and when required
Personality:
- Strong personality to assist with US and export market
- Sales engineering personality
- Meticulous
