Are you a technically strong Mechanical Draughtsman with experience in pump manufacturing, maintenance, and plant environments?
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to produce accurate technical drawings, manage drawing control systems, and work closely with project technicians and engineers to ensure timely and effective document distribution.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic engineering business through precision, design support, and strong drawing office control.
✅ Experience Required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Pump manufacturing or maintenance experience
• Strong understanding of ,machining and geometric tolerances
• Mechanical, structural, plant, and pump station exposure
🎓 Minimum Qualifications
• Matric
• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Draughtsman Diploma or Certificate
💻 Computer Skills
• CAD / AutoCAD / Inventor 3D or similar packages
• Strong computer literacy
• MS Windows, Outlook, Excel, MS Project
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
• Perform basic design calculations and component selections
• Design pump sets, base plates, and auxiliary components
• Create customer-related drawings including GA’s, piping, and sectional drawings
• Pump station, piping, system layout, and design
• Redraw and create 3D models and assemblies from 2D drawings
• Rework and revise drawings in changing engineering environments
• Maintain drawing office systems, filing, and archiving procedures
• Liaise with Sales, Projects, and Workshop teams
• Ensure documentation control aligns with company standards
• Support engineering procedures, material specs, weld maps, and tolerances
